Ninth in a series of 9 photos panning over the northwest side of River Road from a point on the road 1/8-1/4 mile northeast of Nebraska Highway 92, southeast of Clarks, in rural Polk County, Nebraska. The area photographed is thought to include the Clarks Site, listed in the National Register of Hitstoric Places, based on the description in Waldo Wedel's "An Introduction to Pawnee Archeology". Series begins with camera facing southwest down River; photographer rotates clockwise. Photos 7 and 8 in the series point northeast along River Rd. In this photo, the photographer faces roughly east-northeast.
