Note: please do not change colors on the map without consensus on the talk page. By changing the colors you'll make this map useless in 13 different language editions of Wikipedia (because of the contradictions with the corresponding map legends).

Only official government statements are used (of parliamentary, ministerial and ambassadorial level).

Official positions of supranational organizations (NATO, EU, etc.) used as positions of the corresponding countries unless they have a different individual position.

If an official position can be sorted in more than one category, the "strongest" position was marked (from the "call for a peaceful resolution" to "interpretation as a military intervention" consecutively).

In the case of contradictions between political actions (like voting in the UN) and political statements, the category of the political action was used.
