Fair use for Fun Home

This image, Fun Home photoreference.jpg, is being linked here; though it is subject to copyright I (Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 21:25, 13 August 2007 (UTC)) feel that it is covered by U. S. fair use law because:

1. No free alternative can exist to illustrate the artistic techniques used in the creation of Fun Home;
2. It consists of a low resolution copy of an individual panel from a graphic album and a low resolution copy of a photograph used to depict the creation of that graphic album;
3. It does not limit the copyright owner's rights to sell either the graphic album or the relevant photograph in any way;
4. Copies could not be used to make illegal copies of the photograph or the graphic album;
5. The image is significant: it demonstrates the photoreference technique used by Alison Bechdel in the creation of Fun Home;
6. The photoreferencing technique illustrated is discussed in the article, thus using this image to illustrate the article is considered fair use.
