Summary
Two Latvian soldiers from Company B, 1st Infantry Battalion, Infantry Brigade, move through a village during a training exercise at Adazi Training Area, Latvia, Nov. 14, 2014. The exercise consisted of an assault on the village and a search and rescue operation for a hostage inside the village. U.S. soldiers from Company A, 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, provided technical guidance during the planning and practice phases of the training operation. These activities are part of the U.S. Army Europe-led Operation Atlantic Resolve land force assurance training exercise taking place across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to enhance multinational interoperability, strengthen relationships among allied militaries, contribute to regional stability and demonstrate U.S. commitment to NATO.
