Summary
At the intersection of the Alameda with Paseo Bulnes was held the ceremony of the lifting of the great flag, which today flames more than 60 meters high. This event was led by the President of the Republic, Sebastián Piñera, and was marked by the presence of ministers, authorities and former leaders of the country. Just at the moment when the patriotic pavilion was hoisted up, a formation of the acrobatic squadron of the Fach Hawks flew over the place leaving a tri-color smoke trail. After this symbolic act, the head of State recalled the importance of the flag throughout our history and made a special mention to future generations. "We are working to build a Chile full of opportunities for them, full of smiles, colors and joy. A freer, bigger and more fraternal Chile. A Chile with real equal opportunities. A Chile in which all can fight to fulfill their dreams and achieve happiness, which is a task that is in the soul of Destiny and the mission of each one in this world, "he said.
