The United States co-hosted a panel discussion March 17, 2011 to look at ways of ending sexual violence in armed conflict and the culture of impunity around it. Ambassador Eileen Chamberlain Donahoe, U.S. Representative to the Human Rights Council moderated a lively discussion at the United Nations with panelists Radhika Coomaraswamy, the Secretary General’s Special Representative for Children in Armed Conflict, Emina Keko-Isavokic Bosnian Ambassador to the United Nations, Kyung Wha Kang, Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights, and Susannah Sirkin, Deputy Director of U.S.-based NGO Physicians for Human Rights.
