This photograph is from the third album in a set of eleven albums documenting the construction of Hardinge Bridge over the lower Ganges River at Sara, India (now Paksey, Bangladesh) on the Dhaka-Kolkata railway line. Sir Robert Gailes was the chief engineer for construction of the steel railroad bridge.
