Three of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airspeed_Horsa" class="extiw" title="en:Airspeed Horsa">Horsa gliders</a> that brought the 'coup de main' force in on the night of D-Day to capture the bridge over the Caen Canal at <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%A9nouville,_Calvados" class="extiw" title="en:Bénouville, Calvados">Benouville</a>, France, which subsequently became known as '<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pegasus_Bridge" class="extiw" title="en:Pegasus Bridge">Pegasus Bridge</a>'.
