Summary

The wavefronts of a phase-conjugated image are reversed (conjugated) respect to their propagation direction. The deviations induced by an aberrating element (bottle) are thus eliminated when passed a second time. The image reflected by a normal mirror is aberrated even more when it passes through the bottle a second time.
