Summary
The Gordon Field House on the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rochester_Institute_of_Technology" class="extiw" title="w:Rochester Institute of Technology">RIT</a> campus, building 24. Lucius and Marie Gordon were avid supporters of RIT. The <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Field_House" class="extiw" title="w:Field House">Field House</a> was constructed to hold large-scale events such as Convocation. It was completed in 2004 and contains a large arena, two swimming pools, and a weight room. Plans for a Field House were discussed as far back as 1994, when the project was nicknamed the "Simone Dome" by students, after RIT president Dr. <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_J._Simone" class="extiw" title="w:Albert J. Simone">Albert J. Simone</a>.
