The <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ringlemere_Cup" class="extiw" title="w:Ringlemere Cup">Ringlemere Cup</a>, gold, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bronze_Age" class="extiw" title="w:Bronze Age">Bronze Age</a>, c. 1700–1500 B.C. It was found in the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ringlemere_barrow" class="extiw" title="w:Ringlemere barrow">Ringlemere barrow</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kent" class="extiw" title="w:Kent">Kent</a>, in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/England" class="extiw" title="w:England">England</a> by Cliff Bradshaw, a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_detector" class="extiw" title="w:Metal detector">metal detectorist</a>. It was acquired by the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Museum" class="extiw" title="w:British Museum">British Museum</a> under the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treasure_Act_1996" class="extiw" title="w:Treasure Act 1996">Treasure Act 1996</a> and purchased with assistance from the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Lottery_(United_Kingdom)#.27Good_causes.27" class="extiw" title="w:National Lottery (United Kingdom)">Heritage Lottery Fund</a>, the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Art_Fund" class="extiw" title="w:The Art Fund">National Art Collections Fund</a> and the British Museum Friends.

The cup's crushed appearance is the result of modern ploughing, which appears to have happened just before its discovery. The cup was not found associated with any other objects, leading experts to believe it has moved over time in the ground. The area around the site where it was found was discovered to be a large <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prehistory" class="extiw" title="w:Prehistory">prehistoric</a> landscape and an <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglo-Saxons" class="extiw" title="w:Anglo-Saxons">Anglo-Saxon</a> cemetery.
