The church was built in the 14th/15th centuries and still houses the original octagonal carved font > <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:St_Peter%27s_church_-_baptismal_font_-_geograph.org.uk_-_721847.jpg" title="File:St Peter's church - baptismal font - geograph.org.uk - 721847.jpg">721847</a>, and an early 15th century rood screen with most of its original colourings.
