Construction continues on <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enric_Miralles" class="extiw" title="en:Enric Miralles">Enric Miralles</a>' elaborate new complex for the seat of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scottish_Parliament" class="extiw" title="en:Scottish Parliament">Scottish Parliament</a> in Holyrood park (opposite <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holyrood_Palace" class="extiw" title="en:Holyrood Palace">Holyrood Palace</a>, and below <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur%27s_Seat,_Edinburgh" class="extiw" title="en:Arthur's Seat, Edinburgh">Arthur's Seat</a>). The spikey white building to the left is not part of the parliament - it is "Our Dynamic Earth", a science exhibition space. Above the new parliament, half-way up the Calton Hill behind it, is the neoclassical <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Old_Royal_High_School&action=edit&redlink=1" class="new" title="Old Royal High School (page does not exist)">Old Royal High School</a>, which was prepared for a previous devolved Scottish parliament, but never used. On top of the Calton Hill are several monuments, including the squat, naval-rigged tower, a monument to <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horatio_Nelson" class="extiw" title="en:Horatio Nelson">Horatio Nelson</a>.
