Summary
This is the most old and the most remarkable of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zaraysk" class="extiw" title="en:Zaraysk">en:Zaraysk</a> churches. It was built in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1681" class="extiw" title="en:1681">en:1681</a>. On the left side of the churches wall a brass memorial board is placed, which tells one about <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dmitry_Pozharsky" class="extiw" title="en:Dmitry Pozharsky">en:Dmitry Pozharsky</a> who was once a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/voevode" class="extiw" title="en:voevode">en:voevode</a> of Zaraysk.
The left side of a photo is occupied with a wall of another cathedral - the John the Baptist's cathedral.
On the background you can see the east wall of the citadel and its Naugol'naya (corner) tower.
