Flint Creek is a major tributary along the Tennessee River that flows from its headwaters in northern Cullman County to Wheeler Lake in Morgan County, Alabama in Decatur. The entire length of the creek is completely contained within Alabama.

The water level of the lower course of the creek is greatly affected by the reservoir levels along the Tennessee River.

The creek is utilized by many residents of North Alabama, and Central Tennessee Valley in the Decatur area. It is used for many water sports near its confluence with the Tennessee River because of the vast width of the creek and calm waters that are created by the sheltering geography. [1]
