Gaston Colle

Gaston Colle (1 August 1881 – 30 August 1946) was a Belgian academic specializing in the history of ancient philosophy.

Biography

Professor at Ghent University, where he taught moral philosophy,[1] Gaston Colle remains mainly known as a commentator on Aristotle's Metaphysics, of which he has given a translation of the first four books. Published in three volumes between 1912 and 1931, this translation constitutes the first three volumes of the collection Aristote: translations and studies, published by the Higher Institute of Philosophy of Leuven.
