Professor Gilbert Ronald Bainbridge (28 November 1925 at felling Gateshead, Co Durham – 13 August 2003 at Glan Rhos Nursing Home, Anglesey), B.SC., Ph.D., D.P.A., C.Eng., F.I.E.E., F.Inst.P., J.P., was a nuclear physicist, engineer and farmer.
Education
Jarrow County Secondary School and Durham University. Bachelor of Science, Doctor of philosophy, Chartered Engineer.
Career

1951-Paisley Technical College-Glasgow- Lecturer
1954- Macmaster University-Hamilton, Ontario Canada-Researcher Research using Mass spectrometry into light emissions from Stars-funded by United States Air force Strategic command.
1957-United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority- Warrington- Assistant Chief Engineer, Also Health and Safety Executive and Representative to the British Council and Uratom.
