Giuseppe Jacopini

Giuseppe Jacopini (1936 – 2001) was an Italian mathematician and theoretical computer scientist. He contributed to the development and diffusion of computer science in Italy. He collaborated with his professor, Corrado Böhm, with whom in 1966 he proved the theorem that bears their name and that represents the theoretical foundation of all modern structured programming languages.
