Gorse Lea

Gorse Lea (Manx: Ballagarraghyn farm of O'Dorgan) section of road is situated between the 7th Milestone and 8th Milestone road-side marker on the Snaefell Mountain Course used for the Isle of Man TT Races on the primary A1 Douglas to Peel road in the parish of German in the Isle of Man.

Gorse Lea road section was part of the Four Inch Course used for the Tourist Trophy automobile car races held in the Isle of Man between 1905 and 1922. The Gorse Lea road section was part of the course used for 1905 International Motor-Cycle Cup Races held in the Isle of Man. It is a section of the Snaefell Mountain Course used since 1911 for the Isle of Man TT and from 1923 for the Manx Grand Prix Races.

The Gorse Lea section of road including Ballagarraghyn and the Gorse Lea corner was subjected to road widening and reprofiling during the winter of 1952/1953 by the Isle of Man Highway Board for the 1953 Isle of Man TT Races.[1]
