Habibullah Huseynov (Azerbaijani: Həbibulla Eynulla oğlu Hüseynov; Russian: Габибулла Ейнуллаевич Гусейнов; born 1910 - died 1945) was a Colonel of the Red Army, the Great Patriotic War, and awarded Hero of the Soviet Union in 1945.
Life
He was born on 9th of October in 1910, in the Ardabil, Iran. He graduated from Tbilisi Military School.
From the first days of the war, Col. Habibullah Huseynov fought against the enemy in the west and in 1943, he was appointed commander of division. For liberation the Baltics and Eastern Prussia, he fought in front of the 1st Baltic. April 6, 1945, He heroically died in the battle in the Kaliningrad.
Awards
June 29, 1945, He was posthumously awarded the title of the Hero of the Soviet Union by a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. In 1995, a memorial was built in his honor in I. Dadashov street of the Binagadi district.[1]
