Hans von Bargen (14 October 1914 – 6 July 1944) was a highly decorated Hauptmann in the Luftwaffe during World War II and a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. During his career he flew 400+ missions. Hans von Bargen was killed on 6 July 1944, after he was hit by Soviet flak near Äyräpää.
