History

Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. Created in 1905 by the University of Nancy and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Meurthe-et-Moselle, the Commercial Institute of Nancy became in 2002 Groupe ICN École of management (ICN Business School), private higher educational establishment, recognized by the State, attached by decree to the University Nancy 2.[1][2]

ICN is one of the founding members of the ECRICOME concours, a membership selection competition which it created in partnership with the EDHEC, the ESC Reims and the ESC Rouen in 1987. After the EDHEC left the concours, other schools joined, such as the ESC Toulouse, Euromed Marseille École of Management, the ESC Bordeaux and the ESCEM.

In 2014, ICN will open the doors of its new 10 hectares campus in the heart of Nancy containing the schools of Engineering (Nancy) and the school of Art (Nancy). It is the largest university project of France (see section ARTEM).

Jérôme Caby is the General Director of ICN since April 2, 2009.

ICN has an active network of 8127 graduates throughout the world.

Topicality of the school

In September 2007, the ICN entered the famous masters in management ranking published by the Financial Times[1]. ICN Business School takes down the 29th[5] position among European business schools and the 14th position among French schools. Its international mobility of students (ranked 10th) and career progression (ranked 4th) make it possible to propel the Large Commercial school of Nancy to this level.

Moreover, ICN Business School remains well recognized for the quality of its teaching, in particular in the professional environments, since it was classified 10th by a jury of 200 Directors of recruitment for the "Nouvel Economiste"[6] (all commercial schools and faculties of éco-management) of 2007.
