Ibisia is a genus of 'ibis flies' belonging to the family Athericidae, a small family very similar to Rhagionidae ('Snipe Flies').

Some authors treat the genus Ibisia as a recent synonym of the genus Atherix, but the BioSystematic Database of World Diptera (BDWD) does not mention neither Atherix marginata nor Ibisia marginata. It mentions two other Palaearctic species attributed to this genus, Ibisia amicorum Thomas, 1985 reported in Morocco, and Ibisia vaillanti Thomas, 1982 reported in France.[1]
