Independent Television Service (ITVS) is a service in the United States which funds and presents documentaries and dramas on public television, new media projects on the Internet, and the weekly series Independent Lens and Global Voices on PBS.

ITVS was established through legislation by the United States Congress in 1988, and began funding new programming via grants in 1990. In 2005 ITVS expanded its reach through the creation of the Global Perspectives Project, which facilitates the international exchange of documentary films made by independent producers. ITVS is funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB).

In 2010, ITVS launched FutureStates, a series of fictional short films that present intriguing visions about what life in America will be like in decades to come.[1]

ITVS is based in San Francisco.
