Indian states ranked by economic freedom

Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. This is a list of the major States of India ranked according to economic freedom as of 2013. The list is compiled from the annual report published by the US Cato Institute, Friedrich Naumann Foundation and Indicus Analytics, a leading Indian economic research firm.[1] The study grew out of a larger project that began in the 1980s by the Fraser Institute, a Canadian think tank.[2]

According to the report,[1] as of 2013, Gujarat has the highest economic freedom in India, while the bottom three States (in reverse order) are Bihar, Assam, and Jharkhand.
