Irena Vrkljan

Irena Vrkljan (born 1930) is a Croatian writer.[1]

She was born in Belgrade and was educated at Zagreb University and the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin. She lived in both Zagreb and Berlin, writing in both Croatian and German. Vrkljan has written scripts for film and radio. She has also translated works by Croatian authors into German.[1]

In 2006, she was awarded the Vladimir Nazor Award.[2]
