Jeffrey D. 'Jeff' Thompson (born September 16, 1963)[1] is a Republican Idaho State Representative since 2008 representing District 33 in the A seat.[2]
Education
Thompson earned his bachelor's degree from Liberty University and his master's degree from Idaho State University.
Elections
- 2012 Redistricted to 30A, Thompson won the May 15, 2012, Republican primary with 3,341 votes (86.8%) against Trimelda McDaniels; he is unopposed in the November 6, 2012, general election[3] to succeed Democratic Representative Roy Lacey, who was redistricted to District 29.
- 2008 Unopposed in the May 27, 2008 Republican primary, Thompson won with 1,682 votes;[4] he defeated incumbent Democratic Representative Jerry Shively in the November 4, 2008, general election with 7,465 votes (50.9%).[5]
- 2010 Thompson and Shively were unopposed in their May 25, 2010, primaries, setting up a rematch. Thompson won the Republican primary with 3,078 votes,[6] and won the November 2, 2010, general election with 5,411 votes (52.6%).[7]
