Jillelaguda is one of the largest residential centers in Cyberabad, Hyderabad. Jillelaguda village is between Karmanghat and Meerpet villages. Jillelaguda's village revenue[clarification needed] includes more than 90 residential colonies with a population of 50,000 and more than 35,000 voters. This village has a 500-year-old Hindu temple (Jillelaguda venkateshwara swami temple). Once it was a part of the Rangareddy District.Congress government declared this village merge into the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation but the village senior leaders approached the high court to oppose the merging into Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation because it will put more burden for the house property tax and water bills on middle class people. Still the case is pending in high court. In 12, April'16 the TRS government given the new G.O. to convert the Jillelaguda grampanchayat into special Municipality.

History

Jillelaguda was, at one time, a village with agricultural lands. Village is known for its famous 500 year old UTTARA DWARA Sri Sri MATSYA AVTARA KALYANA VENKATESHWARA swamy temple.however agriculture was the main stream very few families resided there with agricultural Lands .The village was named after First and oldest residents of the village Jillela's, as Jillelaguda.Later many casts, religions people started migrating and establishing them selfs in village.once the village was flourishing with vast green agricultural fields. started the last decade, urbanisation has turned Jillelaguda into a residential area with good number of schools, Banks and ATM centers. Jillelaguda is a village in Hyderabad district in Telangana, India just 7 km from Koti, 18 km from Secunderabad Junction railway station[1] and 26 km from HITEC City.

Administration

Jillelaguda is a part of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation into which it was merged on September 3, 2013 after an order no 407 from the Government of Andhra Pradesh. But the senior leaders approached the high court to continue the administration with Jillelaguda grampanchayat. In 2014 local body MPTC elections has been conducted. in 12th April 2016 the new TRS government passed the new G.O. to convert the Jillelaguda grampanchayat to Jillelaguda Municipality. It is a part of the Chevella Lok Sabha constituency and Maheshwaram constituency of Telangana Legislative Assembly. Teegala Krishna Reddy is the present MLA of this constituency.

Transport

Jillelaguda is connected to other places within Hyderabad via the TSRTC, with buses available from the DSNR and Midani bus depots. The main buses that run in this route are 104A 104T 104S 104M.These buses go to Koti.

The nearest MMTS station is Malakpet. Jillelaguda also hosts a Grampanchayath Office. The nearest airport is Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

Jillelaguda will be connected to other places by the future Hyderabad Metro slated to be ready in 5 years.[when?]

Jillelaguda Venkateshwara Swami Temple

The Venkateshwara Swami Temple temple is located here. This temple is known as "Matsya Avatara Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple" and is 500 years old. Adject to that there is Shivalyam temple and Mangama thota around in 5 acres of land.[2]
