Joël Lightbound MP (born February 8, 1988) is a Canadian Liberal politician, who was elected to represent the riding of Louis-Hébert in the House of Commons of Canada in the 2015 federal election.[2]
In 2008, Lightbound was interviewed stating that he did not support Quebec sovereignty.[3] That year Lightbound was awarded the Cardinal Roy Trophy from Cegep Champlain.[4] He later attended McGill Law School, where he was awarded a prize for his participation in the National Laskin Moot.[5] He initially articled with the Montreal offices of Fasken Martineau,[6] and prior to his election practised law in the Quebec City area, specializing in immigration.[7]
