Kalachyovsky District (Russian: Калачёвский райо́н) is an administrative[1] district (raion), one of the thirty-three in Volgograd Oblast, Russia. As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Kalachyovsky Municipal District.[3] It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,880 square kilometers (1,500 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Kalach-na-Donu.[2] Population: 58,524 (2010 Census);[4] 62,228 (2002 Census);[7] 53,058 (1989 Census).[8] The population of Kalach-na-Donu accounts for 46.0% of the district's total population.[4]
