Karl Busche (17 September 1903 – 28 May 1943) was a highly decorated Oberst in the Wehrmacht during World War II and a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Karl Busche was wounded on 26 May 1943 and later died from his wounds on 28 May 1943 in a military hospital in Simferopol, Ukraine. He was posthumously promoted to Oberst.
