Korite International is the largest commercial producer of ammolite. They have been creating a Q-stone (Quad stone) in which they have been creating the red/blue/green ammonite gemstones for jewellery. This stone, while still ammonite is made up from many little pieces of ammonite strategically placed to create the desired colours. It is based in Alberta, Canada. The firm's sister company, Canada Fossils Ltd., provides it with ammonites and other fossils. Korite International is a member of the American Gem Trade Association.

On September 27, 2007, an 80-million-year-old 2-feet-in-diameter fossil of ammonite made its debut at the Museum of Natural History. Neil Landman, curator, said that it became extinct 66 million years ago, at the time of the dinosaurs. Korite International donated it after its discovery in Alberta.[1]
