Krapivinsky District (Russian: Крапи́винский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the nineteen in Kemerovo Oblast, Russia.[1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Krapivinsky Municipal District.[3] It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 6,930 square kilometers (2,680 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Krapivinsky.[1] Population: 24,533 (2010 Census);[4] 27,658 (2002 Census);[7] 31,357 (1989 Census).[8] The population of the administrative center accounts for 30.4% of the district's total population.[4]
