Lego Videogames (formerly Lego Media International, Inc., Lego Software, and Lego Interactive) was the publishing division of the Lego Group, founded as Lego Media in 1996. After the commercial success of Lego Island by Mindscape, Lego Media to further publish Lego-themed games. In late 2000, the company started using the alias Lego Software, and then, in early 2002, transitioned to Lego Interactive to further publish titles in collaboration with Electronic Arts.

In 2003, the Lego Group stepped out of the video game industry, closing Lego Interactive with it. After the release of THQ and Razorback Developments' Lego Knights' Kingdom, former Lego Interactive staff opened Giant Interactive Entertainment, regaining the Lego-themed video game license, and co-publishing Bionicle: Maze of Shadows.

During the development of Lego Star Wars: The Video Game, Giant Interactive was purchased by and merged with Traveller's Tales to form TT Games and become TT Games Publishing, TT Games' new publishing division. In November 2007, TT Games was acquired by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. When the Lego-themed video game license went back to the Lego Group, they opened Lego Videogames in 2010 to further handle the license.
