Luzhany (Ukrainian: Лужани, Romanian: Lujeni, Yiddish: לוזשאן) is an urban-type settlement in the Kitsman Raion (district) of Chernivtsi Oblast (province) in western Ukraine. At the 2001 census, the town's population is 4,744.[2] The town lies on the banks of the Prut River.
