Maharashtra Mandal

A Maharashtra / Marathi Mandal is a social group formed to preserve the culture of those born in the Indian state of Maharashtra, and speakers of its language, Marathi, who live outside the state. Such groups exist in India and throughout the world.

India

Established in 1951, the Maharashtra Mandal in Patna is located on Serpentine Road.

Every year MML Members perform Marathi Drama this year MML Present Saglech Pati Uchapati. For Saglech Pati Uchapati Title song wrote by Shrirang Awadhani. Sung By Mrs Pallavi Sankhe & Music compose by Sudhir Sankhe. Mrs Priti Mali was Choreographer. Drama was successful performance by Sudhir, Pallavi Sankhe, Shrirang Awadhani, Girish,Priya Morje, Pallavi Kadam will be benchmark for the history of MML drama.

Since 1980 MML was formed. First drama was 'Bandu Undir Marto' Performed by Mr. Shashank kulkarni. Since 1989 MML celebrating Ganesh Festival.

Every year on Sankranti celebration, MML do Cultural activity & performance mostly oriented with kids & Family's.

North America

The regional Maharashtra Mandals of the United States of America and Canada comprise the Bruhan Maharashtra Mandal (BMM), which is regionally based in New York and Toronto. The BMM's primary responsibility, other than organizing the events and unity of the regional Mandals, is to hold a biannual BMM Convention. The convention site is held at varying locations every year, and typically attracts thousands of Marathi Americans and Canadians. The current BMM president is Sunil Suryawanshi of Connecticut.

• Maharashtra Mandal Denmark (MMD) was formed in May 2012 in Copenhagen.
• Bruhan Maharashtra Mandal Switzerland (BMMS) is a volunteer based non-profit organization. It's goal is to initiate and coordinate cultural, traditional, educational activities for the Marathi community in Switzerland. As part of that, BMMS conducts variety of programs throughout the year.
