Marlene Malahoo Forte
Marlene Patricia Malahoo Forte, QC is a Jamaican politician. She has been Attorney General of Jamaica since 7 March 2016.[1] She served as a Senator for the Jamaica Labour Party from 2009 to 2016, and served as State Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade from 2009 to 2012.[2] Prior to entering politics, she served as a Resident Magistrate.
Forte studied at the University of the West Indies, Norman Manley Law School and King's College London (LLM, 1999),[2] obtained a master's degree in public administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University,[3] and has lectured in criminal practice and procedure at the Norman Manley Law School.[2][4]
Forte became a member of parliament in March 2016 after the Jamaica Labour Party won the 2016 general election on February 25 by one seat.
