Megan Jones (née Hess, born 1986 or 1987)[1] is the Iowa State Representative from the 2nd District. A Republican, she has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 2013.

As of January 2016, Jones serves the Farm Bureau in the Iowa House.

She has endorsed Florida Senator Marco Rubio for President of the United States.[2]

Biography

Jones is serving a second term in the Iowa House representing District 2. Originally born and raised in Harlan, Iowa she presently resides in rural Sioux Rapids, Iowa. Jones is a lawyer with the Hemphill Law Office, PLC in Spencer.

After graduating from Spencer High School, Jones attended Drake University. Jones balanced a full-time job with her studies and graduated with degrees in Law, Politics and Society and Business. She then went on to earn her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law.

Jones is a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer. Jones claims membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Spencer Daybreakers Kiwanis group. Elected as Megan Hess, she married Will Jones August 16, 2014.[3]

Ideology

She received a 93% rating from the National Rifle Association.[4]

She received an 8% rating from the Iowa Federation of Labor.[4]
