Mitchell "Mitch" Golby is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was taken at pick #16 in the 2010 Rookie Draft, after having played for Gippsland Power in the TAC Cup.

He looked almost certain to represent Victoria Country in the U18 Championships but injured his Anterior Cruciate Ligament in a trial match. The Brisbane Lions drafted him midway through his rehabilitation from a knee reconstruction.

AFL career

Golby made his debut in Round 12, 2011 against Carlton. Golby played a total of 56 games between 2011 and 2015, which included a 2012 Rising Star nomination. His form fell away in 2015 which he only managed 5 games. He was delisted at the end of the season.
