Mohtaram Eskandari

Mohtaram Eskandari (1895 – July 27, 1924)[1] (Persian: محترم اسکندری) was an Iranian intellectual and one of the pioneering figures in Iranian women's movement. She was the first leader of feminist Jam'iyat-e Nesvan-e Vatankhah association and publisher of its journal for women.[2][3]
She had education in Persian and French literature under the supervision of Mirza Mohammad Ali Khan Mohaqqeqi. Eskandari and Mohaqqeqi would later marry.
