Nicholas Logsdail

Christopher Nicholas Roald Logsdail (born 1945)[1] is a British art dealer, the owner of the Lisson Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in Bell Street, Lisson Grove, London, founded by Logsdail and Fiona Hildyard in 1967.

Early life and education

He was born in 1945, the son of John Logsdail and Else Kirsten Dahl, sister of the author Roald Dahl, who was Nicholas Logsdail's uncle, and introduced him to art.[2]

Logsdail was educated at Bryanston School and the Slade School of Fine Art.[3]

In 2014, The Guardian named him in their "Movers and makers: the most powerful people in the art world".[4]

His son Alex Logsdail is also an art dealer.[5]
