Novato Advance is a weekly newspaper in Novato, California.
The paper was first published in 1922, by the privately owned Scripps Enterprises.[1] In 2008, the publisher announced that it would cease publishing the paper because it had not been profitable since 1999, but at the last minute, it was purchased by Marinscope Newspapers, [2], a chain of weekly newspapers. [3]
In 2008, it had 17 employees and 8700 people subscribed to the paper. [4]
