Occhialini Prize
The Occhialini Medal and Prize was instituted in 2007 by the Italian Physical Society together with the Institute of Physics. to honour the memory of the physicist Giuseppe Occhialini. The award is made alternately by the Councils of one of the two societies to a physicist selected from a list of nominees submitted by the other. The prize consists in a silver medal and a monetary prize (3000 Euros), and is given to the winner physicists for distinguished work carried out in the 10 years leading up to the award.[1]
