The Oceanospirillales are an order of Proteobacteria, with seven families.[1] Most species of this order are halotolerant or halophilic.[2]

One strain of Oceanospirillales is an endosymbiont of the Osedax worms.[3] They are not present in Osedax oocytes so they are later acquired.[4]
