The independent committee which consists of well-known literary critics, did not find any signs of pornography in the novel. The Head of the National Writers’ Union of Ukraine as well as the Head of the Committee on Culture and Spirituality of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Yavorivskyi wrote an appeal to the National Morality urging "not to make fool of the Commission and find a civilized way out of the situation ".
