Panchthar district (Nepali: पाँचथर जिल्ला) is a Hill district of Mechi Zone in Nepal's Eastern Development Region. The district covers 1,241 km² (479 sq mi). The 2011 census counted 191,817 population. Phidim is the district headquarters.

Panchthar's majority population is that of Kirantis (Limbu, Rais) and other ethnic groups and hill castes.
