Philip Baldi

Philip Baldi is an American linguist and classical scholar specializing in Indo-European studies. He is Professor Emeritus of Linguistics and Classics at Pennsylvania State University.

Biography

Baldi received his B.A. from the University of Scranton in classics in 1868, his M.A. from the University of Rochester in Lingustics in 1971, and his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester in linguistics in 1973. He was appointed Professor of Linguistics and Classics at Pennsylvania State University in 1981. Baldi specialized in Indo-European studies, on which he is the author of numerous books and articles.
