Some years ago

«Photoprylad» was founded in 1962 within the site of artel “Pobeda”. Kurbanov A. was the founder and first general director.

1965 special design bureau was created, headed by Petrov I. and chief constructor Krivorotiy A.

Beginning of 1970-1972 Photoprylad took the leading part in design and producing devices for chemical-photographic processing, drying and interpretation of aerophotomaterials. Such important space-oriented devices as «Svet», «Raccord», «Topaz» and others were developed and produced here. The first device constructors developed was interpretation marching kit PKD-1, second one – device for washing photoprints PPO-1.

1972 development and producing precise mechanics devices was initiated, also optical mechanical, optical-electronic oriented (gyrocompass 1G-25 for determining true azimuth mounted on artillery 1V12 complex.

1974 Central design bureau «Sokol» was created as an individual organization. Chief constructor of CDB «Sokol» was Ablyazov R.

1974-1976 serial production of separate units and control equipment 9S475 started. It was mounted on MI-24 helicopter.

1978 CDB «Sokol» designed optical device for surveillance «IRIS». It was successfully tested with MI-24K helicopter.

In the beginning of 1980 production of criminology devices was introduced. They are MC-1 microscope and REUS-1 reproduction installation. 1990 «Photoprylad» started to produce medical equipment. These are ophthalmological devices «Stimul», «Alkor», FK-30.

1994 Research and production complex «Photoprylad» was created based on «Photoprylad» and CDB «Sokol». 1995 «Strela» special design bureau became a part of R&PC.

1996 R&PC «Photoprylad» started producing tank sighting systems using laser and microscopic techniques.
Since 2011 the R&PC «Photoprylad» has been included into the State Concern «Ukrboronprom»

Nowadays R&PC «Photoprylad» considered as modern complex including design bureau «Sokol» and special design bureau «Strela». 2012-2014 R&PC «Photoprylad» was headed by Gordiienko V. (chief constructor). Since the end of 2014 he was replaced by Korevo G. (ex-general director of Izyum State-Owned Instrument-Making Plant, Kharkov) . R&PC «Photoprylad» is situated on 2 large industrial sites of 210 thousand square meters and about 1000 employees. R&PC cooperates with Eastern and European countries. 20 October 2014 President of Ukraine Poroshenko P. informed that R&PC «Photoprylad» included into program of state order during 2015, producing night vision googles and thermal imagers for ATO soldiers.

In 2013 the R&PC «Photoprylad» received a Certificate for implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and Ukrainian State Standard 9001:2009.

By advancing this Policy, the top management of the R&PC «Photoprylad» undertakes responsibility for the compliance of the enterprise quality management system (QMS) with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 international standard, continuous improvement of the quality management system and its effectiveness to satisfy customers' demands and expectations. The purpose of the enterprise management is to provide the unity of goals and business trends, the creation of conditions under which all the employees can participate in the control process to improve the quality of work for all the personnel. The enterprise management is based on system approach to processes control. The system approach aims at continual improvement of the enterprise activity, data and information analysis, effective decision-making. The managerial staff of the R&PC «Photoprylad» assumes responsibility for the implementation of the above policy, its understanding and support by all the enterprise employees.
