Rainer M. Holm-Hadulla

Rainer Matthias Holm-Hadulla, MD (born September 22, 1951)[1] is a German professor for psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine, psychotherapy and psychoanalisis.

Life

Holm-Hadulla studied medicine and philosophy at the Universities of Marburg, Rome, and Heidelberg.[2] From 1976 till 1978 he worked as an assistant doctor.[2] From 1979 till 1986 he became a specialist in psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy and assistant professor at Heidelberg University. [3] Since 1986 he is the director of the counseling service for students at Heidelberg University.[4] In 1996 he became associate professor for psychotherapeutic medicine.[5] In 2009 Holm-Hadulla was appointed at Morphomata, Center for Advanced Studies at Cologne University.[6] In 2010 he was appointed at Marsilius-Kolleg, Center for Advanced Studies at Heidelberg University.[7] In 2011 he became visiting professor at Universidad Diego Portales, Santiago de Chile.[8] In 2015 he was appointed at Academia Argentina de Ciencias, Psychoanálisis y Psiqiuatría.[9] Besides this, he works as a counselor, coach and psychotherapist in private practice. He is a training analyst of the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA).[10]
