Richard Longenecker

Richard N. Longenecker is a prominent New Testament scholar. For many years he taught at Wycliffe College in the University of Toronto. He was Distinguished Professor of New Testament at McMaster Divinity College. He is now retired. His education includes B.A. and M.A. degrees from Wheaton College, and a Ph.D. from New College in the University of Edinburgh. He was also honored with a D.D. from Wycliffe College. Longenecker is the author of numerous books and over fifty published articles in scholarly and professional journals. He is completing a major commentary on Paul's Epistle to the Romans, to be published by Eerdmans in the "New International Greek Testament Commentary" series in March, 2016.

In 1994, a Festschrift was published in his honor. Gospel in Paul: Studies on Corinthians, Galatians and Romans for Richard N. Longenecker included contributions from N. T. Wright, James Dunn, and Klyne Snodgrass.
